BRC20

BRC20 takes the feature in BTC Mainnet that allows writing arbitrary data into blocks. It uses this capability to issue tokens by inscribing data in JSON format.

BRC-20 tokens represent an innovative and groundbreaking token standard, leveraging a recent advancement from the Bitcoin development community called Ordinals. These Ordinal Inscriptions are digital assets that are directly embedded onto satoshis, which are the smallest denomination of Bitcoin.
